Taking better pictures of your Family

July 12, 2009, 3:30PM (raindate July 19, 2009)

$65 per person or $100 per couple

In this two-hour, hands-on, location shoot we will discuss and practice techniques Melissa uses as a professional family photographer.

Bring your camera and practice the techniques we discuss as we go along.

This workshop is designed to give you a better technical understanding of your camera, how light affects your photos, and a basic knowledge of composition.  You’ll learn to find good pockets for shooting in unpromising locations, a key to creating natural looking portraits of your family.  You’ll learn to read the natural light that is given to you on any given day and to use common household items to supplement and control it. There’s nothing wrong with snapshots, but given some simple basic principals and techniques, anyone can learn to take dynamic portraits of their family that will be treasured through generations.

Our goal is to inspire you to seek photographic opportunities using the skills you've learned, that will tell the story of a lifetime for generations to come.

Space is limited.
